iPad Air 2 is still supported to this day, that’s almost an outstanding 7 years of software support.

Samsung premium Tables are great with wonderful screens but there is no reason to buy them because the iPad Pro is so much more useful. Dex sucks and no one should buy the Samsung premium tables until they support windows 10, which they do have the processing power to support. Then there would be a reason to buy such an expensive premium tablet.

Think you might have missed the point of dex on the phone tho. You dont travel with all your stuff you rock up to an office and use whats there. Get home and dock it with your big screen TV and pick up your playstaion controller, or dock in your home office. One device can do all your work hold all your files and anwer calls chats etc. Really good idea if like me you already ahve screens and keybaords everywhere you work. (it cant run my work tho and dex still needs to be less jank)

I have a 13" 2 in 1 convertible laptop for work and a 8" tablet for media consumption. I guess its time to sell those and replace it with the Tab S7+ for work and media consumption. Dex really sealed the deal with me, I tried working on tablets before but I cant really be comfortable working on it. I think Dex will tip me over.

Who cares if ipad gets "awesome updates" for years. My last ipad got slower-and-slower after each crappy pointless update. To the point that I can hardly type on that thing because of key latency (after clean reinstall).

I love my iPad Air 2019 with my apple Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil 1st gen... My ipad has 3gb ram, 256 gb storage and A12 chip which is just amazing for video editing and i really enjoy doing that. The most favourite i love about an ipad is that it has iOS and iOS 14 is just to minimalist and smart so yeah, i prefer apple !

It would be nice if after 24 months (from date of first sale) tablet makers would be less hostile to developers so they could put a non-branded Android on the tablets and thus extend the life of the device for installed base. But that would hurt their bottom line (supposedly).
