I don't see what the big deal is Oxygen OS is boring, has poor one handed implementation and the cameras are trash plus the screens are arguably inferior to a top tier Samsung device. Sure it's cheaper than an s20 but after using a OnePlus for a few months I don't think I'd buy another one over a samsung phone

i own a oneplus 8 pro I hate oxygen OS, MIUI IS much BETTER, because 1. while i am on a Bluetooth call, i can't hear a video on YouTube or insta (before last update) 2. i am still not able to figure out pic in pic on youtube, works on netflix. 3. app arrangement is impossible. can't select multiple apps at once to arrange. its really irritating. Not even able to change the home screen in multiple pages. 4. in display fingerprint , capacitive fingerprint was faster no automatic dark theme mode 5. small battery, slow charging (65w should have been given this year) 6. no headphone jack 7. during the call i cant even see the video in my gallery (tell me how is this phone fulfills the minimum requirement) 8. it's low brightness is really high...and a wierd tint that causes colors to get negative, either the screen is not good or its a software problem. its not a software issue. 9. try to edit a post on Instagram, keypad comes and you can't edit and see the caption. if i can't see the caption how can i edit it. 10. when i lock the phone during a call, and change the head position (note. I don't get away from phone), it gets back the screen on, it is annoying. (really annoying, i now use bluetooth for call while sleeping) 11. consider i am watching youtube in full-screen, i click right down corner to start scrolling again, but the video gets a little down and i had to rotate the screen and click to rotate the screen. 12. in YouTube, when we can start watching in full screen with one click, why it doesn't get to normal orientation when we click the sam button. 13. there is red tint in the telephoto camera, still not resolved. 14. i can't adjust the media and call volume individually, my old RS. 11000 miui phone (2016 model) had none of these problems

You are overselling the display. It is plagued with black crush and green/pink tint issues. You might not have experienced them personally but they are widespread.

I don't even use the 90hz option on my phone. 60hz is smooth enough if the processor+UI offer snappy performance. 60hz + Smooth Scrolling turned on is better than 90hz. Can't even tell the difference.

Tbh 120 hertz is kinda cool for gaming and absolutely SICK for comp reddit browsing. I've used a 120 hertz monitor for a second and even I was surprised by how smooth it was on a phone. All I do on this thing is scroll and scrolling has never been this smooth 😚

@payam firouzi yes wireless charging,official IP68 rating though 8 has same waterproofing it doesn't have an official rating, quite better cameras and slightly improved speed, emphasis on slightly.

I bought a OP 8 Pro. Its display issues are really irritating. Yet, none of the reviewers say or talk about it. 😅 Green Tint, Image Retention and Black Bar. Disappointed.

The issue with OnePlus is their warranty... while it "exists" on paper, their US service center is an ultimate FAIL. Google "BBB OnePlus warranty" and read horror stories... I have had OnePlus One, 6t and now use 7 PRO and have to say, I have been lucky I do not have to deal with the warranty issues - but friend of mine experienced loss of phone: sent in for warranty, never heard back months after... nothing... $700 phone, gone...

Bought the one plus 8t today for around $600 in India so yes they did make a flagship killer but I just wished it had a better camera and wireless charging would be nice but I don’t use it anyways so no issues there

Ok I can not believe I have to ask this about a phone. How is the phone quality, for those of us who use it as a phone?

Why no major youtubers are talking about OnePlus 8 Pro display issues. The display has serious issues like Black Crush, Green Tint and Black Bar. I can still ignore the green tint and black bar but black crush ruins the whole experience of watching Netflix. I got the phone replaced and still I'm seeing the issue. Every friend of mine who bought the phone faced those issues and has to return the phone. I'm literally loosing my trust on OnePlus. If it would have been Samsung or Apple, they would have released an official statement.

I am going to say it : People want a flagship at Max €500. The phone maker should wake up and realised the price of top end phone must be near €500 anything above this is simply over priced.
