my zenfone 5 still works like magic to this day, dropped it millions of times, no screen cracks, still super fast for my daily use. Asus is a good phone.

What they 'should' do... is just make the battery life last longer. No ticks, no random options... just make it stay alive for longer. Options means that they can throw blame... . P.s. They could have kept the price that bit lower (or higher than the previous model) but chose greed.

i love the phone , but it has 2 niggles , ( it would make it perfect otherwise ) , the superwide senzor is meh , and it is not water proof( atention i do not mean being certified) there are many other phones that are waterproof without being certified!

I have the Zenfone 6 and my biggest issues with it (apart from it completely dying about 9 months in and having to send it in to be repaired) are that the screen is not AMOLED (which is updated in the new 7), it only has 4G (which is updated to 5G in the new 7), problems finding and connecting to bluetooth and wifi and also the sound quality and volume on calls. The sound was a big complaint in a lot of reviews for the Zenfone 6. When I am on the phone outdoors or in public places, it is almost impossible to hear the person on the line. I sometimes even put them on speakerphone and still struggle to hear them. I am wondering if this has been improved on the 7? Also, it's a little sad that they've gotten rid of the headphone jack, but I guess I will just have to upgrade to wireless earbuds and get with the times...

Ever had somebody walked in on you watching something you shouldn't? Or ever clicked on a video and ut started playing loudly in a class or on a bus or whatever? It is awesome to have a single speaker that you can quickly cover with your finger and get rid of most of the sound! So having a second quieter speaker that makes it harder to do so is a bit of a downside. This feature might not be something you look for but when you get in this situation you will really appreciate it lol

The way they put this in the market is very confusing. I'm in Europe and in all countries surrounding me (UK, Germany, Belgium) it is available through the Asus webshop, yet in Holland it isn't. I also feel they priced it a little too high. It is €799 in Europe and to rival with brands like OnePlus it needs to be 699 max imo. I might have gotten one had it been available. It seems like Asus has great potential on the smartphone market but at the same time it seems like their not really bothered with the lack of marketing and random placement in markets.

I feel I need to warn everyone about my first (and probably last) experience with an ASUS phone. April 2019: I got the Zenfone Max Pro M2 (released Dec 2018) came with Oreo 8.1. October 2020: still haven't updated the phone, every report I read about each new update tells about the awful messy and buggy experience and performance with Android Pie that still hasn't been fixed. There are also a couple of official beta releases of Android 10 that seem to perform even worse. The Asus development team behind updates seem to be a total disaster! Just my two cents

Most people hang on to their phones for around 2 years. There's no question to me that manufacturers can design a pop up camera that will last 2-3 years minimum. Honestly, I find pop up cameras so intriguing as they aren't constantly in your face. I want to know why nobody has manufactured a flagship smartphone without a front facing camera.

Stop crying about the head phone jack ppl. Time to move on oldies! We're living in the 21st century. Do you connect your phone to home speaker via cable? Your car? Laptop etc.? There might be still people who stick to their wired headphones, but majority doesn't. And for those who wanna use headphones, there is always an adapter (usb c to chinch).
