Maingear Element 3 17 (2070S) = Eluktronics Max-17. Best 17in laptop I've owned ever. I get the KB and noise, but it feels good to type on, it's not hot vs other brands and noise isn't that bad vs like MSI or something. Def agree it's not for everyone but personally, I love mine. Maingear support is also excellent, very personable.

Well alot of people like his channel(so do i). 1st) because Dave always straight to the point kind of guy. No weird intro, no weird over reacting or some shit. 2nd) Dave knows what a good laptop really is. Like many people all hype up for the Asus Zenbook Duo dual screen design and the second generation. But Dave don't recommended it. It is because of value. Dave knows that buying that laptop just a waste of money because you can only play one game. One game for 3 thousand bucks. So he said wait for the third generation. And the third generation came out and Dave was right. It was so much better than the 2nd generation and it saves alot of people's money. So thats some gold speech right there. 3rd) He's not a apple fanboy nor an windows fanboy. He use both windows laptops and an Apple iphone. So that makes people comfortable unlike Max Tech Channel, full of apple fanboys kids. Okay just because I like Dave's videos doesn't mean his vids perfect at it. 1st) Most of his laptops reviews is gaming laptops. So me as a business and home consumer, doesn't really apply to his kind of channel. 2nd) Dave does not make a really good review when it comes to a phone. Like Dave really chose to pick Pixel 5 over Samsung s20 FE. So that just dont make sense.

Typing on my Schenker Via 15, which is a thin and lite notebook from XMG's office brand. It has the keyboard with the single cutout and flat switches. It's THE BEST keyboard i've used on a laptop so far. Also this particular device looks astonishing! Very Clean and Minimalistic

How is the built quality? Do they last?

Hey Dave... I bought one of these and was very disappointed with the quality. My device was very expensive - around 2.500 €. And it had the worst fans i have ever had on a notebook. The CPU was very high pitch and pulsing and the GPU was low pitch and putting vibration in the whole chassis. If I spend 2.500 € on a laptop I expect damn good ventilators for that price. For me these devices are no option anymore.

I have had an eluktronics laptop for 3 years now. I was looking for a gaming laptop so I could take it with me while I had to travel for cancer treatments and a family friend recommended this brand to me. 3 years later the laptop and I are both alive and kicking.

Pretty sure those tongfangs are used by Gateway (currently carried by Walmart). I just returned one due to the keyboard and as you typed on the units, one of them was 100% a match for the one I returned. I kept missing double keystrokes on emails, so annoying.

Stange review... My Gigabyte Aero 15x v8 died twice due to thermal issues. And it was not silent to begin with. I'd rather have a cheaper device from a less known brand that is a bit louder but has the thermal characteristics under control! Every laptop gamer plays with headphones anyway... What good is a 2.5k € laptop from Gigabyte & co that is supposed to be more silent, but isn't, when you can throw it away after 2 years? Dave, do you actually run any of the machines you so favourably test for 2+ years under a regular gaming load? I don't think so.

It's more powerful and cheaper but it doesn't look pretty so buy the slower more expensive one? LOL! It really doesn't matter to me since I don't carry around a computer other than my phone. As for gaming, I can blow any laptop away with my tower system for less than half the money.
