A combination of reasons why I've ordered iPhone SE 2020 few hours ago: - Size. It has a perfect fit. I able to use it by one hand. I can't understand a f**ing madness of android phone producers about shovel-sized phones. - It has half price of another phone with perfect size - iPhone 12 mini - I prefer a sofa, a TV and a PS/XBOX for gaming. I believe, phone gaming is an absolutely stupid idea whatever screen size it has. - Apple ecosystem - I know what to expect from iPhone talking about reliability, materials quality, durability, support period. I got used 5S few years ago as a device for app testing. After my samsung had died I used it as an everyday smartphone until it's died in 2020. 2020 Carl!!! It was working smooth and getting updates for 6 years from. The most durable android that I had (samsung), died in an age of 3.5, experiencing different problems last year. - Starting from iOS 14 it finally has usable desktop widgets. - funny thing: single camera of an iPhone take a better shots in a most cases than brick sized androids with 100500 quantity of cameras. Summary: yes, it has old school design and smaller screen than iPhone 12 mini, but it is relatively cheep and it based on Apple design principles.

I am in love with this phone, I’ve had it for a little over 1 month. All I do on my phone is take pictures, listen to music, and use social media. Battery life works great for me and I’m very pleased with the camera. Again I’m not a picky person.

Here is a suggestion, I'm very late but whatever. If you are having difficulties with the batter life of the Iphone se, go to amazon and buy a case by ekrist for the iphone 8. It fits on the Iphone se and packs a 6000mah battery. You can get through two days no problem while playing heavy processor intensive games. Plus it is very cheap only 30 bucks I'm sure many people who can buy a phone can buy this case that not only protects the phone but increases the battery life.

At the end of the day, when the phone gets a year old, the only thing that remains is the performance and the se 2020 is gonna keep up its performance, meanwhile other 400$ phones are gonna lag like crap. The bling factor of mega pixels, colors or even amoled will be gone once it has been used roughly. And amoled display cost a lot to replace. Ergo se is the new poco f1.

The problem with the se 2020 is it’s outdated design. I know this design made the phone cheaper, but would it be so hard to make it look like the iPhone 11 with a worse processor? Or make it a entirely new iPhone design. The sad thing about the se is that the iPhone 12 series is here, so while the deign was outdated, now the processor is no longer top dog

apple have a strong understanding of their user base. fact is this isnt a phone made for anyone who reads this comment. its a phone for your parents and grandparents. iOS is really easy to use and set up. the phone itsself is designed to be pensioner-proof. home button. single camera. reachable screen. the android phones in this price point are so bloated with "flagship killer" features, the average un-techhy person will have no idea where to start with it.

I’ve just gone from a oneplus 6t to the iPhone se 2020 after my oneplus I think the reliability and longevity I’m expecting from iPhone will be better. Oneplus 6t only lasted two years and it’s completely dead and I mean bricked. So iPhone all the way plus it’s only £399 win

This is shittest phone & after 5 & X, I downgraded to SE & gradually want to fade off apple & move to android The battery of this phone is pré-historic, forget all feature, display etc - it’s not usable at all - crap You have to charge 4 times in a day, that’s only if you are heavy talker - business talker not just chit chat I mean I had to buy 3 gadgets - wireless car charger, wireless desktop charger & power bank cover. So the light or pocket friendly form factor is a toss. Android phone on the other hand lasts days together , they do gr8 photos, videos, media & so on . For this price you get bomber android. This is my last iPhone

No way the battery can be that bad. I had an 8 and I could Atleast get to between 530-7 pm til I needed a charge. 8 doesn’t have as efficient a chip as this either. I mean yeah I have an 11 now and battery life is phenomenal. But the 8 was solid.

With 2 hours of use a day, I end up with 60% on average.. It's way more better than I think it would be ! Perfect for my use in fact

I just ordered one from Consumer Cellular. I did it because I need more storage space that cheaper phones can't give me, it was an apple (and I've been wanting to start using some apple products to learn the operating system better), and I can afford it. Its a matter of being able to have the storage space I need while going with a cheaper option.

Dave mentioned Indian market. No one mentions Indian market. That's why Apple product reviews from anywhere in the world is legit and applicable to rest of the world as well. If US gets A13, rest of the world gets A13. No ill treatment at all.

I have an iPhone SE 2020 white variant. Love it for the Touch ID. My previous phone was the XR which I sold to an ex-classmate for an urgent need. Is it a good phone? Yes, it gets the job done. Call quality is clear and everything else is good. The camera is not fantastic in low light settings and the battery is terrible. Perhaps I am using the Dual SIM functionality that's why. Well, I miss the large screen of the XR... Thanks Dave for your video. I like the presentation very much.

I bought iphone se back in 2016ish for its small size, I don't like the current phone design; 6 inch screen, notch/pin hole and no headphone jack Right now all android phone with similar size to iPhone se are as powerful iphone se, even if they do, their software update barely last 2 years and start to lagging

I'm considering buying The IPhone SE2. I'm 15 and I'm "hard-core" android user, I read books on my phone, I watch media, YouTube and films on my phone, I play games ALOT and I love mobile photography. I like big displays with good resulution, big batteries and I need quality camera. The problem is... ANDROID SUCKS. I really want to have an ios phone but I can't afford anything more than the iPhone SE2. In bulgaria everything is so damn expensive, the SE2 is 569$ and I really don't know what to do. I really like the attention to the detail and I love the old design, but is it worth it.. Will the battery be enough? will the camera be as good as on the android phones? and the fact I won't have that big, high resolution display just scares me. My heart tells me to get the iPhone, my brain is begging me to get android phone.. Please help me:(

I feel the phone forces you to be more productive and keeps you away from distractions (games, social media, etc) as well save on battery so you use it less. Something basic and useful at the same time, plus the size is perfect for a phone. Those are the reasons why i switched from an 11 to the SE.

I purchased two iPhone SEs and I'm sending them back. The little spinning wheel at the top next to the Wi-Fi signal engages after you use the microphone. It potentially eats up battery life. Do you know what's up with that? Because the Apple gurus can't figure it out.

I came from a decade of android phones. Don’t think this is a cheap dated design like he says. The display looks better then my OnePlus. Quality trumps size. The iPhone hasn’t had one bit of jank or stutter, the oneplus does constantly. I can’t think of one area I prefer the op phone it’s weird.

My mom, my grandma, and my lil sister had to upgrade from their iPhone 6 this year and I thought I'd buy the three of them iPhone SE but the design was super dated and neither of them really know or care about A13 bionic chips and what not, so I ended up buying 3 iPhone XRs one for each of them and they absolutely love it. The size isn't too crazy and it looks like a 2020 phone atleast. Also the pricing wasn't much different in India as well, only about 7000 rupees(approx. $100) difference between an iPhone XR and and iPhone SE 2020.

To me the SE three best features are, its size, iOS (including continued support) and build quality. However, what hurts most is the price. In the US it is so much cheaper, that dont feel right.

@Dave Lee how has the experience with the iPhone been? I'm interested in it as I'm currently using an iPhone 7 and its showing its age. I would like to stick with apple because of their optimization of apps. I'm also thinking of waiting till the 11 drops in price, however, the phone would be more expensive.

What does your battery health look like on the iPhone 7? If it’s below 90 percent replace it and wait on the 11 to drop in price.
