They made a lot of money from their bathing ape collaboration and other things that appeal to Rich Kids. I purchased this laptop after watching this video, and all i can say after using the laptop for several months is just don't buy this laptop. The laptop keeps crashing after around 30-60 minutes and contacting dell support didn't help, there's even a subreddit that talks about this laptop and almost every post it has is just about the laptop having many problems. Honestly i am very disappointed and i will never listen to this guy ever again.

I want to buy this for the value for money thing, but the aesthetics and the build severely repel me, I am worried that since there is an evident lack if effort in the design thinking of this machine, it would suffer in long run. A gaming laptop is a computer designed for someone who wishes to get good performance when playing games, not just for the person who wishes to be able to run a game on their computer. You don't need a gaming computer to play games in. This review is about a computer that is meant to be in competition with other, similarly specced products. And at this price range, it offers the best performance, that is why it is referred to as the "best 'cheap' gaming laptop" in the video title. There are cheaper products, there are products with better specs, but if you want a serious gaming laptop, few will perform as well as the Dell for the same price. It's as simple as that. Cheap is subjective anyways. $800 would be outrageous to ask for a hot dog, but it would seem too good to be true for a house. This is a comment in 2021 after CES 2021..... if u guys want a clean gaming laptop in 2021 wait for sometime because ASUS revealed their TUF DASH F15 which is a clean and has cool teal ( among us players will say it cyan) backlit keyboard light and that's look way to cool also it would be I think starting at $800. So that's a really nice clean and normal looking laptop without any fancy lighting and not a big logo at that budget.

i got a 1660ti max q on a labtop that closely has a body of this one just in black and has blue lights and blue trim its more like cyan also black labtops look better grey looks weird like a old GB but with a matte body 2:18

also the BUILD QUALITY SUCKS that G5 and my G3 both got the same body and the hinge sucks on mine so i bet you if you touch it very hard it will wobble the screen thats why i perfer not adjusting the screen as it puts stress on the hinge

I read on a website that it's theoretically possible to find something decent in the 600 usd range. Either second hand, or it's gonna be something like an older i5 + an MX150 graphics card (or the previous generation). Essentially one would ideally have to know which games they plan on running an how well optimized they are. That being said, I once managed to run Endless Space 2 on an 650$ laptop with no GPU (a UHD 630 chipset) even though I uninstalled it after 15 minutes by fear of ruining my processor.

I originally bought this laptop and was loving it until I started getting blue screen within 2 weeks of purchasing. I later found out it is a known issue with the GPU that a lot of people were having the same issue with. I replaced mine with an MSI GF65 thin and its been great for me.

got this laptop 1 week ago, it runs 200+ fps on low on overwatch, but it crashes after gaming for like 20 minutes, it does it every time. really disappointed, gonna get a refund :( i like everything about this laptop except for the fact that it crashes when im gaming... but it's understandable considering this laptop is the first laptop to do amd cpu and gpu with the smartshift technology so it's gonna be buggy, but im gonna get a acer predator helios 300 for a similar price after getting a refund, if you're reading this comment, just don't buy this laptop if its for gaming cuz it crashes. i found tons of people complaining about this problem on multiple forums, and not just this laptop but also many other dell laptops, so just don't buy any dell laptops man

​@Shawn Mendez what ur essentially getting is a 1650 performance for gaming for those laptops at that price point... can barely run aaa games at a level most casual consumers would consider adequate, and wont last long at all. this laptop runs at similar performance to 2060 laptops i dont think i need to explain the difference between 2060 and 1650. this has way better value period, and it is cheap compared to laptops that actually uses cards like the 2060
