I got a Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 with the Ryzen 4700u for $740 in India and the only other laptop which was in this price was an Acer Aspire 5 with the i5 11th gen (and similar specs). The thing is that the Ryzen one's are so much cheaper than their Intel counterparts that a better GPU doesn't really seem much like something which would make me wanna rather buy the Intel one. If Intel reduces the price of the Core i7 to the price of the Ryzen 4700u, only then will they actually get people back to their side.

I just bought the dell xps13 with the i5 version (11th gen). It was more powerful than the 10th gen i7! Glad I looked up the specs before buying! (And it was very reasonably priced for a high end ultrabook!)

This one in benchmarks is 1185G7. Most laptops will use 1165G7, that too mostly 1000$+ machines. AMD 4700U can be found for 700$ albeit with poor build and screen quality. But, AMD chips are obviously cheaper. Would love to see a 4800U or 4900H in XPS, spectre, or Razer machines.

Microsoft Surface 8 pro will have this chipset.

I don't know about the graphics (i don't play games on PCs anymore) but the cinebench 20 score is much worse than the current generation of AMD cpus. If this is their best model, they are in trouble... The 4500U gets around 2500 points, not to mention the scores I get from my 4800U Lenovo Yoga Slim 7 which is steadily over 3900 when plugged and maxed out in the performance settings...

this machines uses LPDDR 4266hz memory at least, with normal 3200 memory this graphics is worse than AMD's Vega 7. Yes Intel is cheating aaaagggggaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnn

looks like stealing Raja Koduri from AMD is paying off for Intel in GPU department. GPU has always been Intel's Achilles Heals.

Currently AMD might me slightly ahead. However, you have to consider that Intel manufactures its chip in 10 nm, where AMD does in 7nm. Given that drawback, Intel's chip architecture seems superior to AMD's. Let's hope that AMD uses the time to further advance its chips till the time Intel also builds its chip in 7nm.

No-one cares about integrated graphics. We need high Mhz, cores, low wattage(no throttling). Intel just can't do that at 10nm. If you want graphics, buy a decent dedicated graphics card. The MacBook killer is already here, check out the Asus G14, it has it all, today. Not in the distant future.

3:27 Probably more like they've had the ability to do such an increase for years but sat on it because they were leading by a comfortable margin. They're probably "losing money" in comparison to what they could have made by creating two to four generations of insignificantly incremental increases.
