Does anyone know the RAM and SSD in this laptop?

I have one. Overall, pretty good. When you pay this sort of money though, problems stick out a little. The fans are noticeable, even with minimal load (2 tabs on Chrome minimal). I have had to remove some basic features of Windows and limit background apps to keep the noise down. It'll heat up and the fan will kick in at 5000 rpm with no gradient - so it's either on high or off. I produce music and wouldn't recommend it for that. I have expensive studio monitor speakers to reduce hiss but I've got this laptop pumping out high pitched fan in the background as soon as I open Ableton which is frustrating. Dell responded to my concern by saying - "yes, what do you expect? It's a very thin laptop". Also some driver issues. When you pay £1700 for a laptop you hope you can run a web browser without it affecting your environment so drastically.

All your comments are from a new laptop perspective. Let me add from a user perspective, I bought a Dell XPS over Apple and I am disappointed to say the least. The battery drains quite fast just after one year of usage, even if I shutdown the laptop. Dell's software shows no issues and customer care is pathetic, they understand the issue but do nothing. So my advice, just stay away from Dell and their worst customer service.

you should do a review of the Lenovo t14/t14s amd it's a good laptop for this type of premium, performance, compact laptop :)

After watching this, I went for the new 9310 version with the 11th Gen chips. All I can say is that they did it better. With chrome on youtube, whatsapp, mail, discord and whole microsoft office suite running, I am getting about 13 hours of battery life. Only issue is that the configs don't allow for a 1tb drive without getting the 4k panel in my country. Wish that was an option.

Separate jack from matherboard is probably doue to their problems. Recently in my Vostro they had to change MB under warranty because it stopped charging- - broken jack, not because any kind of rough use. Pretty expensive repair for small issue. So that's why, in my opinion, is jack separtated now.

I don't know if the review units of all the big shot youtubers are different then the one I bought but God! These is the worst laptop I have used in many years. I got the Dell xps 13 2 in 1 touch 9370 model with top of the line spec: Core i7 1065G7 base 1.5GHz Turbo upto 3.9Ghz(joke?), 32 GB Ram, 1 TB NVME SSD. The battery life is horrendous! Barely last 3 hours with medium brightness(4k panel) Let's talk about performance. I am a software developer. I run multiple instance of visual studio, fire up Dev servers and run many Dev tools in parallel. And......it throttles....it throttles really bad...it throttles even when the core temperature below 80 deg and I set Dell power plan to max performance... I paid £2300 (Pound Sterling) to stare at the Task Manager showing 100% CPU utilization but barely running in base clock 1.49 GHz I regret buying these fancy 'thing n light' garbage after using Thinkpad for so many years. UPDATE: ======= The issue with my Dell XPS 13 was related to some incompatible drivers/software installed by the IT company my employer does business with. Those incompatible software/drivers were very hard to detect because there was no conflict or error reported by device manager or windows. I have figured that out by monitoring the system that some windows processes are using incredible amount of memory and cpu which is not normal. After reinstalling windows 10 Professional all problems are sorted. Verdict : I retract my opinion above. This is a really a great laptop for people who wants a thin and light but yet very powerful laptop. Software developer really needs NOT to worry about performance for day to day development work. Obviously not a video rendering machine. Prolonged CPU intensive tasks ramps up the fan, produces lot of heat and eventually some CPU throttling. The battery life is mediocre at best with 4K panel. I would still prefer a thicker Thinkpad with better thermal and much comfortable keyboard but thats just me being old fashioned I guess. I would highly recommend the laptop without 4K panel.

Bit late for this but the LED on the lid is a battery indicator, it fills up when you charge and illuminates based on how much juice is in the battery. Doubt anyone will ever see this.

I second what a few others have said: DO NOT BUY THE DELL XPS 9300. Mine had random screen brightness changes, tb3 ports not working, battery life being way less than the 9380, constant overheating, and weird bugs on boot that dell customer service said they couldn't fix and instructed me to reinstall windows, which only fixed the issue for a few days. Also came with multiple dead pixels. Although not apparent at a first glance, these issues are starting to pop up a lot among long term users.
