The new iPad Air is kinda pro but what do you think of the lack of a 120Hz display?

Dave, I would be interested if you also see advantages of 120Hz when just scrolling a website? Is it more fluent and so even more better for eyes & concentration?

i kinda wish that more reviews wouldnt compare it to the ipad pro. i just upgraded from the 2019 ipad 10.2 inch. this is amazing. the touch ID isnt laggy if you put your fingerprint in right. the ipad is great if youre a college student, a media consumer, or a multitasker. the ipad pro is 200 dollars more for differences you wouldnt notice if you never held an ipad pro.

also the 60hz screen isnt noticeable unless youve used a 120hz. you need to also consider how long buying a 2018 ipad pro would last because they cant even be covered by applecare anymore. i would suggest you buy the ipad air

My only advice to anyone out in the market confused between the Air and the Pro... it all boils down to: - Screen size - Performance (only if you are a professional) - Refresh rate (meh..) Flashlight? (I dunno..!) If you want 11 inch "good" device (certainly, a bang for the -buck- wallet) Air is the way to go. (My personal preference is 13 inch screen so the air lost in the first point itself)

60hz is literally no big deal for most people on a tablet. 60hz looks beautiful and smooth. 120hz can be huge for desktops and laptops, maybe even TV’s, given the kind of things you do with those devices, but on a tablet, it makes not much of a difference when you write quick notes and even make it your whole notebook. Art? Maybe, maybe maybe, I’m yet to experience 120hz artmaking. But from my experience with art on my 6G standard iPad, it’s been beautiful. Air will be smoother in performance compared to previous iPads and the current standard iPad too, and 60hz will really do it justice.

The fingerprint sensor on my Note 9 is near instantaneous (despite being scratched and old). It surprised me when I got my iPad Air 4 that's it takes a couple of seconds to respond.

When I press the touch ID each time, there is a notification on the side to remind me to touch here. I think Apple try to revise the habit of face Id to the touch Id. I don't know why apple put touch Id on the new Ipad air.

Face id costs more so they didn't put it in air, I prefer touch Id tho since it is annoying to take off my mask to unlock the Ipad outside home

Different iPads for different usage, but at the moment it feels like you get good value with this new Air

I already have a Logitech Combo Touch with a 3rd Gen iPad Air, so it’s not really worth it to upgrade for me, but that 4th Gen iPad Air looks darn good. I actually thought that I would be disappointed by the 60hz display, especially since my phone has a 120hz display, but the high touch sensing rate makes the experience pretty smooth.
